Oh, Deliberative! You see risk and danger EVERYWHERE, don’t you? And that doesn’t necessarily mean only scary things (though you see that, too), but even the simple things — like a cup of water sitting too close to the edge of the table that could tumble off and cause a mess.
It’s almost like Futuristic, in that you see the potential disasters that may occur if things head down that road. And your job is to head them off at the pass, preventing near catastrophe.
Unless you’re certain that it’s safe and the risk is eliminated, you won’t budge. The train is not leaving the station, the plane is not getting off the ground, the plan is not moving forward. Period. You will dig in your heels and create a barrier so big that no one or nothing can get through (unless you have an Activator in your life and they’ve usually moved so fast you’re now facing the cleanup and that annoys you to no end). Why can’t everybody think things through before they act?
Well, we can’t see the things you do. We really can’t. Blind as a bat, we are. This is the main reason we need you!
Deliberative: Help us SEE!
We need to know what you’re looking at, what worries you, what things have got you stepping on the brakes. If we know that, we can get you the information you need so that we can move forward. And remember: we see it differently, and maybe a side of it, you haven’t considered. And perhaps — if we put our heads together — we can find a solution that works for both of us.
Deliberative Deadlines
For those of you who live with, work with, or love a Deliberative, deadlines work. Here’s why: if they don’t like it, they’ll tell you immediately! And that gives you a negotiation point!
Thanks for protecting us, Deliberative. The world would be far more dangerous without you!
